At Sheffield Mencap and Gateway, we want to make sure that everything we do reflects the needs and wishes of the people we support and their families. That’s why we are currently developing our next Business Plan (2026–2029) – and we’d love your input.
Our members have already shared their thoughts through fun, practical activities. They told us what they enjoy most about coming to Mencap, and what they’d like to see more of in the future. Many said they’d love the chance to do more sports and to explore new places together – themes we’ll be building into our planning.
As our Engagement Manager Laura Zielosko explains:
“Inclusive consultation is at the heart of everything we do. Our ‘My Mencap’ forum of members is already invaluable in helping us develop our services, and we wanted to make sure we extended this across all our members so the next business plan is a true reflection of what matters most to them.”
Now, we want to hear from carers and families too.
We’re keen to learn about your experiences of our services, any challenges you’ve faced in accessing them, and your ideas for what you’d like to see from Sheffield Mencap and Gateway in the future.
