Sports Stars

At all of our Saturday Stars groups children are supported to progress towards their own personal goals within 5 areas: relationships, social skills, independence, confidence and mental health/wellbeing. At the end of each term children receive a star certificate to celebrate their acheivements.

At Sports Stars children improve their fitness, co-ordination and teamwork through a range of inclusive sports and active games.

Sports Stars is split into two sub-groups:

Stretching Stars: 10am – 11am

Stretching Stars is an introduction to being active and participating in team games for children who benefit from more support.

Squad Stars: 11:15am – 12:15pm

Squad Stars suits children who already enjoy being active and taking part in team sports and games.

You can apply for a place using our online application form.

• Delivery dates: Saturdays in school term-time only.
• Times: Stretching Stars 10am – 11am, Squad Stars 11:15am – 12:15pm.
• Venue: Norfolk Lodge, Park Grange Road, Sheffield S2 3QF.
• Cost: £3 per session. This is charged per term and is payable at the start of each new term.
• Suitability: We can not provide 1-2-1 support during this session. If your child requires this, or may need support with personal care, we ask that a parent/carer remains on site for the duration of the session.
• Parent/Carers: Our ‘Parent Carer Room’ is available during this session. Relax and meet other parent/carers of children with additional needs. Refreshments are provided.
