About Soundbites

Soundbites supports people aged 12 – 16 with a learning disability or autism to develop their confidence, communication and social skills through recording and editing audio.

Soundbites members can choose the topics they are interested in and create their own projects, or collaborate with others, supported by specialist staff.

Participants can explore activities from a wide range including creating their own podcasts, radio-style interviews, sound effects and soundtracks, storytelling and creating music and song lyrics. They can develop their ICT skills through using sound editing software as well as recording equipment. All activities can be adapted to the needs and abilities of each participant.
